Soluna Medicinal Gardens
Soluna’s medicinal gardens are located in Averara, Italy, 700 meters above sea level in the Italian Alps, near the town of San Pellegrino. The intense summers and winters found at this high altitude strongly influence the medicinal herbs. The herbal garden is nestled within a pristine alpine environment, far from any pollutants. After being brought in contact with the 7 planet metals, natural spring water from the mountains is used to water the plants. The herbs are cultivated according to the strictest ecological standards and in consideration of biorhythms for sowing, planting and harvesting. In order to preserve the active ingredients in the medicinal plants, they are sowed, harvested, cleaned, and sorted by hand, and are chopped without the use of heat or pressure. Approximately 50 plants are cultivated in this fashion. In addition, 30 or so medicinal herbs are harvested from the wild, from the area surrounding the herbal gardens. In this way, there is certainty that the herbs used in the Soluna remedies are of the highest quality.
Quality of Ingredients
The medicinal plants employed today in wholesale commerce satisfy the requirements placed by pharmaceutical concerns with respect to the quantities of individual constituents. They do not, however, conform to the expectations of alchemical quality, oriented as they are to signatures. The following picture shows the noticeable difference in quality of common broom (Cytisus scoparius) from Soluna Gardens to the right, and another herbal manufacturer to the left.

Harnessing the Power of Nature
The gardens are located far away from locations with major air pollution. Contamination by artificial fertilizers, insecticides, and pesticides carried by the wind is accordingly minimized and conventional agriculture can be practiced no closer than 40km away. The atmosphere surrounding the Soluna gardens is therefore unencumbered, and man and nature can still form a unity.
The medicinal plants are sown, cultivated, and harvested by manual labor in accordance with the relevant biological rhythms. The harvested plants and blossoms are dried as gently as possible on silk panels stretched over wooden frames. They are then vacuum-packed. This procedure preserves to a maximum degree the distinctive plant signatures. The harvested medicinal plants are examined in the Soluna Laboratories in accordance with the guidelines of the relevant pharmacopoeia. Only medicinal plants that satisfy not only alchemical but also formal pharmaceutical stipulations are used as constituents in the Soluna remedies.
